Make Time for Your #Framily
Posted on April 23, 2014
In my new book, Welcome to the Real World, I talk a lot about the importance of managing your personal life. I can’t stress how important it is to make time for the people who matter. Time is the most valuable thing you have and you don’t need to spend it with people who don’t add value to your life. I’m not talking about business value or “networky” value – I’m talking about people who you find special and enjoy spending time with; people who you genuinely enjoy being around. We all have a handful of people who are important to us; I call mine my #Framily (thanks to the new Sprint commercial maintenance). These are the people that don’t care if I’m “The Intern Queen” and who don’t care how successful I am or how successful I become; they would be my friends if I were a garbage collector. We would do anything for each other, and so it’s crucial that I prioritize them and make time for them. Whenever I get to spend a few days at home (in LA), I’m constantly making time to see my #Framily. Try it.
